Who Is Mr Stewart

I am Jamaican born but moved to New York in 2003. i have passion for black history and love to travel.  On my bucket list: travel to all state in the USA and all seven continents at least once in my lifetime. So far I have been to 27 states in the  main land and two province in Canada.

 

In high school I joined the Cadet troop ran by the Army (Jamaica Defense Force), and developed a great love for camping and the outdoors. So many time when I an not at school , I am out camping or traveling the roads.

 

 

Teaching

 

In 1994 I started teaching Electronic Engineering at Excelsior Community College In Jamaica. It was my plan to only teach for two years. More than 25 years after,  I am still teaching.

 

 Since moving to New York ,17 years ago,  I have also  taught, Physics, Science,Mathematics and Special Education. 

 

At West Bronx Academy for the Future,  I currently work as a Learning Academy teacher (Special Ed.) teaching High School mathematics and is the 9th teacher leader. This will be my 9th year at this school. I have also served as a new teacher mentor.
