About Mr. Wright
TEACHING: This is my second year at West Bronx Academy for the Future and I am excited to be back. I am a special education teacher focused on math. This year I am teaching 6th and 8th grade math.
EDUCATION: I received my bachelors degree from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. I received an MBA from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and in June I received my Masters in Education from Hunter College, NYC.
EXPERIENCE: Prior to becoming a teacher I was an Operations manager at IBM for 20 years and prior to that I was a vice president and chief credit officer for North Fork Bank in NYC. During all of this time I worked as a teaching tennis professional on weekends working with children of all ages to help them learn to play tennis and improve their game.
HOBBIES: I still compete in senior tennis and platform tennis competitions. In the winter, when I am not playing platform tennis, I am usually skiing in Vermont with my family. I am constantly trying to become fluent in Spanish.
